Organization search

To display an organisation in the mindmap and insights panel, users can begin by either entering the organisation’s name in the organisation search box or initiating a search via contextual chat. Regardless of the starting point, chat Chat will guide the user by requesting additional information to help accurately identify the organisation.

Domain selection

To select a domain, click on the dropdown in the top level business unit.

Insight panel

The Insight panel opens when a user selects a node in the mindmap or clicks the expand icon seen below.

It comprises two key components:

  1. Detailed metadata of the selected mindmap node

  2. Chat-based business architecture insights.

When business domain details of the selected mindmap node in the Insights Panel are clicked, they are added as a focal point of the chat context and highlighted as shown below.

Contextual chat

Chat context refers to the business information that informs and enriches your conversations with the Orthogramic contextual chat assistant. When you interact with the chat feature in the Insight panel, the system automatically considers relevant business architecture elements from your organization's data model. This includes information about the specific node you've selected in the mindmap, related capabilities, value streams, strategic objectives, and other interconnected business components.

How Orthogramic Insights works

Orthogramic Insights enables users to interactively explore the business architecture of an organisation by extracting structured domain data from uploaded documents.

The process begins when a user uploads business-relevant documents such as strategies, policies, or plans. These documents are automatically processed using the Orthogramic Metamodel, which interprets and structures their content across domains such as Capabilities, Strategy, Policy, Stakeholders, and more.

This structured data is presented in Orthogramic Insights as an interactive view, allowing users to navigate the relationships between domain entities, identify coverage gaps, and understand strategic alignment. For further analysis, the domain entities can be downloaded in a JSON format for reuse in other systems or artefacts.
